Networking Might Not Be What You Think It is

TESTIMONIAL FROM ROB MONTERIO

Networking – It Might Not Be What You Think It Is

GET YOUR FREE E-BOOK - GREAT NETWORKING IDEAS

To many people, networking can seem like a daunting process. For some, just the thought of attending a networking event provokes enough anxiety that they avoid it altogether.

The term “networking” can conjure images ranging from walking into a room filled with strangers to being cornered by a determined salesperson to trying desperately to find customers for one’s own product or service.

Over the next few months, I’d like to present you with a positive way of looking at networking and share some of the secrets of successful networkers.

Networking is not all about sales. It is about making contacts and meeting new people: people who may or may not benefit from your products or services and people whose products or services may or may not benefit you.

The point is that every time we meet new people, we aren’t just building relationships with them. In a sense, we are establishing connections with everyone those people know, just as they are with us.

They might not need what we have to offer, but they might know someone who is looking for exactly that. Similarly one of their services might be precisely what a friend has been looking for for months.

Networking is “creating relationships whereby you can help others achieve their goals, which in turn will help you achieve yours.”

Networking is a process. It is much more than passing out and collecting business cards. It’s about building and nurturing lasting relationships. Only by being genuinely interested in others and helping them succeed can we gain access to information, solve problems, avert disasters and achieve goals – not to mention gain qualified referrals.

With this focus on relationships, it’s important to remember that networking is not generally about immediate results. It’s about really getting to know and care about the people we are talking to and genuinely understanding what they have to offer.

Only when we achieve a certain comfort level will we feel confident in giving referrals to each other.

The next time you attend a networking event, don’t go looking for people who can help you grow your business. Go with the intention of finding out how you can help others with their businesses, without any expectation of return. It could just be the start of a something wonderful.

Want to Climb Everest? Here is Sam Wyatt (Realtor/Focused Network Member) Discussing Below

The first question you should ask yourself is:  why?

In my experience there’re two kinds of mountaineers: those who are aware of the fact that climbing is a spiritual endeavour and those who are not.

If you want to climb Everest simply to pad your resume it’s not likely a good idea.

If on the other hand you want to climb Everest to challenge yourself, to do something you are not sure you’re able to do or because you just feel compelled then it may be just the right goal for you.

Once you’ve decided to do it you will need experience, good advice and…… read more

WHY WOULD YOU WANT PRE-MARITAL COACHING??

FEATURE MEMBER;  PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

Wendy Yacboski - Inner Source Coaching  (604)459-7738

 wendy.coachrev@gmail.com      www.weddingceremonyvancouver.ca

What Does Wendy Do And How It Can Benefit Someone Getting Married.

What I do is help to make an important life moment very special!  Whether it is:

** A commitment ceremony

** A wedding

**A house blessing

** The blessing of a newborn baby

**A renewal of vows

** or, yes, A divorce ceremony

**  or, a celebration of life

A key feature of a marriage ceremony is pre-marital coaching.  Regardless of whether or not this is a first, second or third marriage, getting to know the essential areas requiring same or similar values is critical.  It has been said that most people spend more time and attention on their next vehicle purchase than they do on moving into a marriage meant for a life time.

It is important to understand that while coaching can address and resolve some marital concerns, it is not therapy.  If and where this is required, I would refer the couple on to a different professional.

What BENEFIT do people receive from this product/service?

The benefit of pre-marital coaching is that it brings out into the open the many areas of life where each spouse is in agreement or disagreement with what marriage looks like for them, and how important this is to them. The ‘need-to-haves’ and the ‘nice to haves.’  Self and other honesty is critical in this, because in time, it will come up.

Do you want to know – or do you want to be surprised – in areas such as:

Communication styles

Temperament

Beliefs about love, relationship, marriage and previous experiences with marriage or other relationships

Values, Priorities (people, places, things)

Lifestyle choices

Sex and intimacy

Family planning

Personal growth

Money

Health, activity level

Relationship with in-laws / outlaws

Beliefs above love, romance, ‘reality’

Shared responsibilities in the home

Love language necessary (words of affirmation, acts of service, touch, quality time, gifts)

Spirituality / Faith / Religion

Connection (listening

Tolerance / forgiveness

Participation and contribution

Your/their idea of success in life

Can you agree to differ?

How does this product or service SATISFY the needs of your clients?

The more informed we are, about ourselves, our partner, and reality, the greater the chance of a richer, deeper, long-term relationship – being a trend-setter, not a statistic in marriage.

Pre-marital coaching identifies clearly, openly and honestly what you want to create and experience together, and how that is possible, using various relationship tools to assist. .

You don’t need to have problems before you talk about these very important areas.  Seeking assistance, early, as well as during the marriage relationship, is a sign of strength and maturity.

My Target Market and Ideal clients for this product would be:

Couples who are newly engaged, or starting to become ‘serious’ about their boyfriend/girlfriend as a partner for life – heterosexual or same-sex couples in legal or non-legalized marriages or relationships.

Ideal clients are couples who are willing to leave no stone unturned to have the best possible, most fulfilling marriage experience with their spouse. Couples who are willing to risk challenge, for awareness, to grow in deeper and greater ways.

Taking Pictures With My New Camera!

Last year I bought a new camera and took a photography course and went out a few times with a very good friend who helped me with some tips and tricks.  Did some nice Eagle pictures

I also had a couple of great times with my Grandchildren taking pictures in the forest and having the thrill of having a bird sit in each of our hands and eating seeds.

What I didn't do though with my camera - was practice and take the time to play with the various settings -that's what I need to do now.

I'm alive when I am out in the woods, around water, in nature.  Taking time for ME, and being in Nature helps to keep me in balanace.

I'm  off taking pictures  with one of my 19 year old Grandaughters   This is a picture of Tayler my grandaughter with a bird in her hand -- Thrilling.  We'll see what comes tomorrow - maybe some Eagles!

Have you set up your DREAM DAY?  This was mine!
