Winter In Winnipeg
As I write this, the weather in Winnipeg leaves a few things to be desired - for us west coasters anyway. In fact, there was one day recently where the Manitoba Museum reported that Winnipeg's temperatures were actually as cold as the surface of Mars. Which means that Winnipeggers should be the core part of the 1st mission to Mars.
My picture is a few years old but it could have been taken yesterday. My sister in law, Donna, and I are standing in the middle of the Red River not too far from the Forks. As I recall it was cold, but for those of us who have seen the good and the bad that Winnipeg has to offer, it was a good day. Little or no wind and a typically bright sunny day. Just right for January.
