This college teacher uses a unique method to explain privilege to his students.

Life is not a fair race. I know from personal experience being a female, minority, Asian.

My close school buddies, whom I still have to this day, protected me from bullies and racism until I had the capacity and the courage to defend myself.

Life is not fair, but you with your unique talents and gifts, can make it fair.

Privilege does not guarantee success. 

It's what you do with what you've got ... and the people that you surround yourself with.
