THE DARK TABLE

Our friends have a relative who is visiting them from New York who is visually impaired. We checked out Groupon and The Dark Table seemed like the perfect outing.

You make your menu selection outside in the light before they escort you into the restaurant.

Our server, Lazar, is 100% blind and he led the way to our table. We were all connected by putting our hands on each other's shoulders. 

As you can see in this photo, there are five of us seated at the table enjoying a 3-course meal with much laughter and hilarity. (LOL, it's dark in here, flash not optional).

I ended up helping my fork with two fingers, and when the others weren't looking, used my fingers to pick up food. 

My goodness, it was a hoot.
