I have a small garden in my home in Boise , Idaho . It gets hot here and it is really nice to make a light nutritious meal from the things I have grown. I especially like my tomatoes and fresh basil. Try this salad : Slice two whole red tomatoes into 1/4"slices Slice two different varieties of tomato to add color ( I use yellow cherry tomatoes and orange tomatoes ) Drizzle olive oil and herbs on the bottom of a dinner plate Arrange single tomato slices on the plate Top with a fresh basil leaf Put fresh cut mozzarella slices on top Drizzle again with olive oil and herbs and a little balsamic. Add some fresh ground pepper and enjoy !
