Weather Warms Up

Seems like we had more days of cold weather in February than warm days.

Combined with working from my home office most days and not really getting out unless I'm heading out to the grocery store, Lily and I decided to head out for a drive on Family Day.

We thought that since the weather had warmed to minus 15 Celcius, we could drive to Cochrane and enjoy some MacKay's Ice Cream.

Well, we weren't the only people who had that idea.  MacKay's had a huge lineup. (I'm not sure if this image gave it justice).  Everyone was waiting outside, properly socially distanced.  We waited for 20 minutes before we could go inside to grab a couple of scoops of ice cream.

The staff were really friendly and said they were busier than they expected.

The wait was worth it.

Who would have thought that a winter's day getting ice cream would be so crowded?
