Cancer Advancements
If you ask me a question, I usually have an answer or have heard of someone that has an answer to that problem.
I pride myself in not having to go through hell myself but finding out how people who have been through hell before you have solved that problem. Definitely makes life much easier!
In this case I would like to promote/inform you of some crazy advancement that has been made (and not publicized) in the Cancer world.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Michelle from Cancer Treatment Options And Management (CTOAM). She is a cofounder of CTOAM. https://www.ctoam.com/
CTOAM has figured out how to take someone who has cancer and go through over 550 markers to determine your genetics and what your genetics will react to when it comes to treatment.
It is all science based and also can empower your oncologist to stand up for you to get the right treatment specific to what will ACTUALLY work based on your genetics.
Since 1998, Big Pharma has taken over our medical system and that means it takes away how much power a doctor has to give you the right treatment that would work. The Oncologists hands are tied. Saying that, FDA Approved and Health Canada Approved Treatments are amazing and extensive. ALOT has been approved of over the years.
Oncologists has to go through the 2-3 steps for treatment right away, - cut it out, radiation, chemo and hopefully it worked.. if it didn't work... then maybe you will be allowed to go for one of the treatments that are on the rest of the giant extensive list. By this time you are almost dead or have at least gone through hell.
CTOAM tells you right away what your genetics say. Your genetics can say, this cancer will not respond to chemo, this other treatment would work and it will respond. Then they give you a science based document to empower your oncologist. They also teach you how to advocate for yourself on the way.
I think this is phenomenal! I tell everybody who needs to hear about it. Please share this out as you see fit.
Right now, CTOAM is not part of our covered medical expenses in Canada so it does cost money to make it happen, but trust me, your life is worth it. (the base cost is about $5,500)
