Coho Salmon Extravaganza

One of the many great joys of living on a river is access to amazing fresh fish. Now, full disclosure, neither of us actually fish, but we do know enough to never look a gift fish in the mouth. 

Recently, our lovely neighbour graciously offered us a few Coho Salmon, fresh out of the Chilliwack River, and goodness were they delicious!  Our freezer is now all stocked up on salmon cakes and potato salmon croquettes. Of course, we would never forget the dogs, so they also have some yummy pup cakes to look forward to. 

To be honest, if we had to catch and clean fish, we would never get to eat it. So we are super grateful to have a neighbour who enjoys doing both!
