Bad money habits keeping you from getting rich

I always tell my clients things such as 'paying yourself first' and 'asset allocation' and this article hits the nail on the head. We all do things that we don't think twice about, but they add up and will eat away at your cash flow.

If you still are doing some of these things, change it now!

Best places for snowshoeing in Vancouver and Whistler

Since we don't really get any snow in Vancouver, especially this year being as warm as it is, it would be nice to get away to a snowy destination and bundle up during your little getaway.

During the day, besides the obvious mountain sports like skiing and snowboarding, here are some awesome trails to go snowshoeing in Vancouver and Whistler. I haven't done it myself, but I plan on doing so in Gibsons over the holidays, and I've heard that it's beautiful and a wonderful experience.

Healthy, low calorie recipes for your turkey leftovers

I don't know about you, but in my family, we always have a ton of leftover turkey after the big Christmas dinner. Since meals over the holidays tend to be rich, full of flavour and therefore packed full of calories and fat (not that there's anything wrong with that since the holidays are a time for indulgence!), here are some great recipes that are equally as tasty but much more forgiving on the waistline for those turkey leftovers.

My view everyday!

Moving is stressful, especially when it's over the holiday season. I've just moved into the Olympic Village and it still amazes me how beautiful this city is. This is my view everyday during my short commute to work.

If any of you are moving anytime soon, here are some simple tips that'll help mitigate your stress (at least a little).

Some tips to make your move go smoothly

Things to keep in mind when doing your taxes in 2016

One of the first things the Liberals did after coming into power is lowering the TFSA limit to the previous level, so be sure you're cognisant of it if you've already hit your contribution limit.

The other item to be aware of are those that are in the tax brackets that will be affected by the new tax rates. These are but a few reasons to keep in mind when doing your taxes. Not to mention the sooner you get them done, the less stress you'll feel, and if you are entitled to a refund, the faster you'll get your money!

Don't procrastinate on doing your taxes in the New Year

Baby Sophie!

My best friend just had a beautiful baby girl named Sophie and she is such a little angel. I couldn't believe how small she was when I visited her and the happy couple in the hospital the morning after she gave birth.

She's now one month old and already much bigger. Congratulations to all the new Mommys and Daddys out there!
