Venice - A Place You Have To Visit
Venice is one of those places you want to tick off on your bucket list.
We were lucky and had 3 days of sunshine.
During night, we walked off the beaten path, it felt like we were transported to the 17th century or some sort of Pirate video game: Dim lights, dark back alleys, old architecture, soft sound of the water....just amazing.
GERMANY'S AUTOBAHN: BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES or Extreme Volkswagen Family Van
Corvette doing 320 km/hour - Autobahn
I called the car rental company the night before and asked if I could rent a BMW, Audi or Mercedes for my 1 day of driving through Germany.
They said, should be no problem.
I arrive and they provide me the keys.
It's a Volkswagen.
I'm a bit sad, but it doesn't matter, I'm going on the Autobahn!
I then walk to my car. It was hidden behind 2 other cars.
I pass the 2 cars and to my amazement a Volkswagen Family Van.
That's all they had left.
Anyways, the Autobahn is awesome. I was able to get it up to 190km/hour.
Germans are awesome drivers. It's the first highway I've ever been on where everyone follows a set of specific rules to the tee.
Take a look at the video, the corvette passed cars with no issues at 230 km/hour.
Italy Definitely Has the Best Coffee, But What's Up With The Food?
I was impressed with the coffee. I think we had 2 to 3 lattes/cappuccinos/fancy coffees a day.
What was surprising, was the food quality. I know lots of Italians, they are always proud of their food, soccer and the fact that they are Italian!
Mama Mia! What the heck happened in Rome + Venice? The food was not up to par.
We tried a few nice places in the beginning, then decided to eat cheap during the rest of our stay in Italy.
I don't know if we messed up our food locations or it was just Rome/Venice are not known for good food.
