With Earth Day around the corner,
BUILDER and Custom Home take a look back at nine Builder's Choice & Custom Home Design Award-winning projects that push the envelope on environmentally conscious design. These projects, designed with the planet in mind, are dynamic and innovative—and some even produce their own power.
Also around the corner are deadlines for this year's Builder's Choice & Custom Home Design Awards (BCCHDAs), which honor excellence and innovation in residential design and construction across 13 categories including the project of the year, modular, multifamily, and architectural interiors.
The final days to submit submissions are fast approaching—April 20 for early submissions, and April 27 for late submissions. We encourage you to submit your own best work here.

Every Step, A Ripple
The 11th annual race weekend was immensely successful! We were glad to be part of this event by running. This event raised over $500,000 this year!
Amazing!
100% of this amount will be going directly toward building accessible clean water systems and providing quality primary education in our 2018 partner communities. It feels great to support this event means thousands of lives in 5 different communities in rural Ethiopia will be transformed forever: Gora Bantu, Awash Kolati, Adimealsinom, Adihaye and Sheni Kondala.
We do other runs as well but this run was different because it made us think how it feels to get the pitcher of water from miles away and its essential basic need which we take every day for granted. Running for water was a great run for our family, supporting this event gave us great feelings and now on we are thoughtful of wasting water.
