Ring That Bell Jinjoo :-)

One of the best dog training tricks we learned on YouTube was the "Ring the Bell to Go Outside" trick.

When Jinjoo has to go outside to peepee or poopoo he just rings the bell.

And if he's being babysat at the neighbours we can give them the bell, they can hang the Bell on their door knob and he'll ring it at their house.

Give it a try, oh, and yes, old dogs can learn new tricks, I'm living proof :-)

I Created a "Goal Planning for Success", Presentation by special request from the Victoria Real Estate Investors Meetup Group.

 

Goal PLanning for Success

So I got a call 1st week of January from the organizers of the Victoria Real Estate Investors Meetup asking if I would do a presentation on "Goal Setting".

I said YES immediately, why?

Because mastering Goal Setting, Public Speaking and Presentations are goals of mine. 

And since it was January, the time of year everyone gets excited about Setting their Goals for the year it certainly seemed fitting.

The big challenge was that I didn't have a presentation on Goal Setting already, and I only had 3 weeks to pull together a pretty complex topic and hopefully practice.

Well I have to say this was an amazing exercise, I learned a ton about all the levels of Goal Planning I had employed and optimized over the past 10 years.

One person said, "I've seen a lot of goal setting techniques but you've taken 4 systems, optimized them to a ridiculous level and created a "4 step, no fail system", "unbelievable!" 

After I sent out the follow up slide deck and goal setting worksheets package to the attendees I got this kind of feedback;

Mortgage Stress Test Gets Relaxed by Fed

 

So finally after crushing the Condo and First Time home buyer Markets across Canada Finance Minister Bill Morneau takes a step in the right direction.

Lowering the Mortgage Qualifying "Stress Test" for CMHC Insured Mortgages, but not for uninsured mortgages yet.

Let's hope the next step is reducing the Stress Test for uninsured mortgages.

The Magic of Hiring the "RIGHT" People

 

I'm speaking from experience when I say that hiring the RIGHT Person or Business can be life changing and can accelerate your success beyond your wildest expectations.

And believe me the opposite is true for hiring the "Wrong People". 

I had great success in hiring the right people in 90% of my business dealings but struggled with "Who's the Right Property Manager" to operate my Windsor ON portfolio of properties.

Well after years of struggling with "The Wrong People", I nailed it!

I hired a Paralegal, problem solved :-)

Unlike in BC where Paralegals have to work under a Lawyer, In Ontario you can hire a Paralegal as an employee.

If you own properties in Ontario I suggest hire a Paralegal directly or a Property Manager that's a Paralegal or has in staff Paralegals.
