DIT DAH OF MORSE CODE
Some people have a bucket list of experiences or places to visit at some point in their lives, but as you get older, experiences like skydiving or scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef are no longer appealing.
So, have you considered writing out a bucket list of things you always wanted to learn?
Learning Morse Code has been on my list since I was a child.
Technology has advanced such that you can now learn Morse Code online for free.
Each lesson is broken down into 60 second listening tests up to a maximum 10 tests.
Consider 26 letters plus 9 numbers = 35 distinct dit-dah codes: this gives you 10 days per code, and by the end of the year, you will have acquired a new skill.
Learning Morse Code is part of my 1-degree challenge over the next 365 days.
BENEFITS OF SKIPPING
Skipping rope is another 1-degree challenge in the health category.
Remember the days when the hula-hoop was popular?
But a skipping rope is much easier to transport.
My primary focus on the benefits of skipping rope is the high-intensity interval training health benefits.
This beginner video shows the top 20 most common jumps.
To size the jump rope to your height, fold the rope in half, step on the folded end, stand straight, hold the handles to your body, the rope cable (not the handles) should align with your armpit.
This video explains the 5 most common jump rope mistakes and how to correct it.
