DESIGNING OUR FUTURE

The 2025 World Expo is taking place in Osaka, Japan from April 13 to October 13, 2025 on Yumeshima Island, a man-made island in Osaka Bay.

This is the official website to purchase the expo tickets.

The theme is sustainability.

YOUR SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Create your sustainable personal future plan by setting SMART goals to help you take actionable steps that also prepares you for unexpected challenges.

Personal planning is as vital for managing careers and finances as it is for insulating you from potential hardships.

Set yourself up for success. Take an hour, a day, a week, or a month to design a hassle-free, stress-free, worry-free future.

$2.8B SKYTRAIN EXTENSION

Two tunnel boring machines named Phyllis and Elsie excavated their way under Broadway and reached Arbutus Station in April 2024.

The unique solution to manage traffic flow and lessen congestion was building an elevated guideway above the construction.

The Broadway subway line is on track for completion in late 2027.

CELEBRATING

What a wonderful way to start off the new year by celebrating 2025, Steve's 67th birthday, and on track for the next phase of the Lougheed Landmark project.

We are also happy to announce the successful completion of the Phase One Class B capital raise for the Lougheed Landmark project.

Phase Two Class C units will open for subscribers in February.

The next Lougheed Investor Update is at the Sandman Signature on Friday February 21, 2025 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tax slips are being mailed out next month.

For those considering 2024 RRSP contributions, the absolute deadline is March 3, 2025.

AFRICA'S GREAT GREEN WALL

This mega project in Africa is one of the most impressive reforestation and sustainability projects in the world

Their vision is to create a green wall to stop the advance of the Sahara Desert.

They are using an age-old water harvesting structure called the half-moon to capture rainwater, increase food security, and rehabilitate the ecosystem.

PLANET PARADE

A planetary alignment is happening between January 21 to February 21.

The 6 planets appearing together in the night sky are Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn (visible to the naked eye) and Uranus & Neptune (requires binoculars or telescope).

Mercury will join the planetary conjunction on February 28 for a 7-planet alignment.
